In-Person Races Return
My very first half marathon was the disneyland half marathon. Race weekend and race day itself were such an incredible experience. i’ve been hooked on running and races ever since. not to mention disney provides the best medal & gear ever!
disneyland no longer offers races - only disney world (and disneyland paris, mais oui). only disney world - pssh! the race experience just got a little more magical in orlando.
the only disney race i have done was that disneyland half many, many moons ago. i was sure 2020 was going to be the year i would race in disney world. covid said, “hang tight! keep that thought. i’ll circle back!”
racing in disney world is finally back! although it’s unclear just how covid will modify race weekend, the first race of the 2021/2022 season is on the books! the 2021 wine & dine is slated for nov 4 - nov 7, 2021! general registration opens july 13, 2021. that’s right around the corner.
with so many race options to choose from, disney is def one to put on the bucket list.
